Responsible for provision of drug information to other health professionals, patients and their families, and the public.

Reviews all orders for appropriate drug therapy, proper route dose, drug interactions, appropriateness for age andcontraindications.

Always obtains patient's allergies to medications and checks for potential allergies prior to dispensing any medications.

Requirements

3 years Two years hospital experience withparticipation in a clinical program if no residency., upon hire 1

3 years Two years managing andoverseeing pharmacy technicians., upon hire Basic Life Support
