Key Responsibilities

The Weekend Morning Counselor ensures the safety and well-being of program participants by assisting with meals, morning routines, and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills while maintaining a supportive environment for individuals with severe mental illness. Responsibilities also include collaborating with staff, developing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, ensuring facility cleanliness, and facilitating morning groups.

Requirements

Required qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of experience in a shelter, community residence, or inpatient setting, along with experience maintaining client safety. Candidates should also be comfortable working with dually diagnosed individuals, those with untreated psychiatric conditions, and applying a harm reduction approach.
