Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Join Department of Veterans Affairs as a Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Toledo, Ohio. Provide behavioral health services that support treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term recovery for individuals with complex clinical needs. You'll work alongside an interdisciplinary team while making a meaningful impact in a structured behavioral health environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and update individualized behavioral health treatment plans based on patient needs and progress.

• Conduct assessments, evaluations, admissions coordination, and crisis intervention within scope of practice.

• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, internal departments, community agencies, and external partners to support continuity of care.

• Evaluate treatment effectiveness, modify interventions, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

Requirements

• Master's degree.

• Current BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

• Current active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification and a Mental Health or Psychiatry specialty, maintained in accordance with applicable state and certification requirements.

• Ability to work with patients who may have behavioral or psychiatric conditions and meet role-related physical requirements, including occasional lifting up to 60+ lbs.

Work Schedule

• Full-Time position.

• Weekend coverage may be required.
