Key Responsibilities

The pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescribed drugs within a healthcare facility, transferring prescriptions, and providing drug information collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. This role also involves entering medication orders into the computer, monitoring patient profiles for appropriate medication use, overseeing support staff, and documenting relevant interventions.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree and be licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in Louisiana, while also meeting state certifications. Required experience includes retail background and working knowledge of 340B and Patient Assistance programs, with hospital experience being preferred.
