Key Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
• Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
• Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.
• Likely to provide case management for patients and their families.
• May provide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.
• May promote/provide staff education

Requirements

• Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required
• Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification
• Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state

• Salary Range:
• Performs procedures with minimal supervision.
• Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certification, etc
• Performs procedures with minimal supervision
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range

Work Schedule

• Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals, weekend or after-hour calls
• This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the chosen specialty
• This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty
• This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of practicing Clinical Nurse Specialist, preferably in the chosen specialty
