This position qualifies for federal student loan forgiveness. After 10 years of qualifying payments while working full-time for a nonprofit employer, the remaining balance on your Direct Loans may be forgiven.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse-PACT provides and supervises direct patient care focused on patient education, self-management, and care coordination within the Primary Care Department at the VA. This outpatient role manages patient panels and promotes wellness and chronic care management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide competent, evidence-based gender-specific care to primary care patients.
  • Oversee licensed vocational nurses and nursing assistants.
  • Manage assigned patient panels and ensure appropriate evaluation and access.
  • Deliver health promotion, education, and coaching on wellness and disease prevention.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Experience in primary care nursing preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate care and manage patient panels.
