The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory disorders, including managing mechanical ventilators. They collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans and provide patient education on breathing techniques and medication usage.
Candidates must hold a Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist credential and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. An Associate of Science degree is preferred, along with additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP.
