About the Role

Join UPMC as a Physician Assistant – Plastic Surgery, No Weekends in United States. University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Physician Assistant to help support Department of Plastic Surgery. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Location: UPMC Magee Womens Hospital Position Specifics: Plastic surgery role with an independent clinic.

Key Responsibilities

Applies basic professional practice knowledge and skills appropriate for practice setting.

Communicates effectively, both verbally and in documentation.

Demonstrates critical thinking in all areas of professional practice.

Learns to incorporate acceptable standards of professional practice as well as business unit and health system's goals to improve patient safety, quality, and satisfaction.

Benefits & Compensation

The APP is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care.

The APP has responsibility, authority, and accountability for the provision of care through supervision by and collaboration with a physician.

The APP manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.

Work Schedule

Full-Time position.

Weekend coverage may be required.

Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and hold a current state PA license certified by the NCCPA, along with current CPR certification and Act 34 Clearance. Experience as a Physician Assistant or in a clinical setting is preferred, and a BS or MS candidate is preferred.
