Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive substance use evaluations for new patients to determine their individual needs and the level of care required.
- Collaborate with community partners to conduct evaluations in person and via telehealth for incarcerated patients.
- Complete engagement activities and partner with Supervisor to ensure patients exiting incarceration are assigned a regular Counselor upon release.
- Lead group counseling sessions for patients; providing education, support, and guidance in a supportive group setting.
Requirements
- Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field, and a tCADC or CADC.
- Knowledge of substance use disorders, addiction treatment modalities, and group counseling techniques is preferred.
