Join Area Substance Abuse Council as a Outpatient Counselor – $24.07/hr in United States. Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive substance use evaluations for new patients to determine their individual needs and the level of care required.

Collaborate with community partners to conduct evaluations in person and via telehealth for incarcerated patients.

Complete engagement activities and partner with Supervisor to ensure patients exiting incarceration are assigned a regular Counselor upon release.

Lead group counseling sessions for patients; providing education, support, and guidance in a supportive group setting.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field, and a tCADC or CADC.

Knowledge of substance use disorders, addiction treatment modalities, and group counseling techniques is preferred.
