Key Responsibilities

The Specialty Pharmacist provides high-touch pharmaceutical care for patients with chronic or rare diseases, focusing on medication adherence and active clinical monitoring. They manage the intake process, coordinate fulfillment, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a degree from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy and be licensed or eligible for licensure in Kentucky. A PGY-1 residency or two years of relevant specialty pharmacy experience is required, along with specific certifications in specialty pharmacy, BLS, and immunization.
