Key Responsibilities
- Texas NeuroRehab Center is currently accepting applications for an Occupational Therapist (OT) on the Behavioral Unit.
- Texas NeuroRehab Center is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin on 67 wooded acres.
- Originally a cattle ranch, the land was purchased in 1943 as part of The Brown Schools and has operated as a medical rehabilitation and behavioral healthcare facility for over 80 years.
Requirements
- For employment on the medical units, knowledge of neurodevelopment treatment and motor control and understanding of neurological dysfunction and its effect on motor performance.
- Knowledge of traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular accidents, neuropsychological and physical disability evaluations and how to conduct appropriate Occupational Therapy intervention.
- For employment on the neuropsychiatric units, knowledge of sensory processing and sensory motor disorders, its impact on developmental and psychosocial skills, and appropriate treatment interventions.
