About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Texas NeuroRehab Center is currently accepting applications for an Occupational Therapist (OT) on the Behavioral Unit.

Texas NeuroRehab Center is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin on 67 wooded acres.

Originally a cattle ranch, the land was purchased in 1943 as part of The Brown Schools and has operated as a medical rehabilitation and behavioral healthcare facility for over 80 years.

Requirements

For employment on the medical units, knowledge of neurodevelopment treatment and motor control and understanding of neurological dysfunction and its effect on motor performance.

Knowledge of traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular accidents, neuropsychological and physical disability evaluations and how to conduct appropriate Occupational Therapy intervention.

For employment on the neuropsychiatric units, knowledge of sensory processing and sensory motor disorders, its impact on developmental and psychosocial skills, and appropriate treatment interventions.
