Key Responsibilities

The Pharmacist reviews medication orders, ensures appropriateness of drug, dose, frequency, and route, and dispenses medications after checking for clinical conflicts based on patient data. They are also responsible for inventory control and providing drug information support to the healthcare team.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy is required, though a PharmD is preferred, along with a minimum of 1 year of hospital experience or relevant clinical APPE experience. A Pennsylvania Pharmacist License is required, and Basic Life Support certification is preferred.
