EM, Neurosurgery & Surgery Physician Assistant-13001-019

Under the general supervision of a licensed physician, the provider evaluates and treats patients with medical and/or surgical problems, performing histories, physical examinations, and interpreting diagnostic tests as per the scope of practice. The role also involves participation in teaching and quality assurance activities while delivering direct patient care.

Candidates must complete a NYS-approved Physician Assistant training program, typically requiring a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent accepted training, and must possess a valid New York State license and registration as a Physician Assistant. Essential qualifications include National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants certification, DEA registration, current Infection Control certificate, basic MS Office skills, and the physical capability for patient handling and dexterity for surgical instrument manipulation.
