Key Responsibilities

  • Educates the Veteran and caregivers on disease state management and proper use of prescribed medications
  • Evaluates patient's ability to understand medication instructions and provides oral and written counseling on their drug therapy.
  • Assists in the management of medical emergencies and adverse drug reactions.
  • Verifies providers' orders to be complete and appropriate
