Nurse Practitioner

Join Department of Veterans Affairs as a Nurse Practitioner in Eareckson Air Station, Alaska. Key Responsibilities

• Leads quality development and clinical governance agendas including maintaining the Code of Conduct of medical practice, medical record-keeping, infection control standards, emergency response preparedness, medical staff, and patient safety at the facility.

• Staff and operate the medical clinic on EAS, providing acute and emergency medical care to all personnel.

• Ensure availability for emergency response 24/7/365, with the ability to respond within 30 minutes of notification.

• Sustain life, limb, or eyesight until evacuation is possible.

Requirements

• Expertise in providing acute and emergency medical care in remote or austere environments.

• Strong knowledge of medical evacuation procedures and the ability to manage complex evacuations.

• Proficiency in maintaining medical records and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA.

• Competency in telemedicine and teleradiology services.
