About the Role

Join National Heritage Academies as a Speech Language Pathologist – Part-Time, School-Based in United States. This position is scheduled to work 27 hours per week. School Information: Located in Detroit, MI, Detroit Merit Charter Academy opened in 2003 and serves 700+ K-8 students every year.

Key Responsibilities

• The SLP works in collaboration with the special education teacher in the formation of daily schedules, testing schedules, and annual meetings.

• The SLP also supplies the special education teacher with current speech/language student lists so he/she can maintain a master Special Education list.

• NHA provides specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from his/her disability such as, resource room, inclusion and/or pullout services.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, or Communicative Sciences and Disorders, and

• Limited Speech Language Pathology License issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs LARA); or

• Speech Language Pathology license issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
