Key Responsibilities
- Work therapeutically with a diverse client population through individual therapy and assessment, group therapy, or other process groups, as required.
- Monitor client progression on recovery, identify barriers and recommend adjustments to treatment plans.
- Delivers education sessions to clients, as well as to public audiences and external groups as needed.
- Completes detailed documentation and charting appropriately. Prepares and completes forms, reports, and correspondence in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Registered Occupational Therapist in the province of residence; willing to register in other provinces with ability to practice in Nova Scotia
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
- 2+ years’ experience working with clients with mental health, substance use disorders, trauma, concurrent disorders, etc.
- Experience working with clients on disability services, workers
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $80K - $90K
