Join Mohawk Valley Health System as a Registered Nurse - Inpatient Wound/Ostomy - Full Time - Days in United States. Job Summary The RN - Wound & Ostomy is responsible for assessing, planning, promoting and evaluating quality patient care. The Wound & Ostomy Nurse provides acute and rehabilitative care to people with gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), and integumentary (skin) system wounds and disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages outcomes for wound, ostomy and continence patients across the continuum of care by providing, coordinating and supporting clinical aspects of direct patient care.
  • Acts as a specialty consultant to providers, nurses, and patients for provision of Wound & Ostomy care for all areas.
  • Creates an atmosphere of learning to motivate staff to increase knowledge and skills.
