As a Medical Social Worker, you’ll engage in a range of exciting responsibilities, including: Establishing a care plan in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.

Providing crisis intervention as required.

Assisting the physician and other caregivers in understanding the significant social, emotional and economic factors influencing the patient’s ability to improve medically.

Requirements

Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited school approved by the Council on Social Work Education.

In Indiana, must also be certified under IC25-23.

Currently licensed to practice in the state serviced.

One year social work experience in a health care setting.

Salary: $55K - $82K
