Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Eligible

This position qualifies for federal student loan forgiveness. After 10 years of qualifying payments while working full-time for a nonprofit employer, the remaining balance on your Direct Loans may be forgiven.

Join Los Angeles LGBT Center as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • will provide trauma-informed and culturally competent psychiatric assessment and management to patients at the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
  • will also be expected to provide episodic care for non-panel patients as needed.
  • will conduct clinical encounters with new and returning patients including: obtaining a comprehensive psychosocial and medical history, reviewing past and current psychotropic medications, providing differential diagnosis, and developing a treatment plan.
  • lead healthier, happier lives, by keeping their minds and body well.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of or experience working with the LGBTQ community and familiarity with issues of particular relevance to LGBTQ people.
  • A passion for the Center’s work and its mission to make the world a better place for LGBTQ people.
  • CA RN license/MSN with current CA Furnishing Number.
  • ANCC/ California Nurse Practitioner Certification.
