About the Role
Join Atlantic Health Strategies as a Mental Health Therapist – $65K-$80K, No Weekends in United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Will Do at Freedom Recovery Provide individual and group therapy to clients in outpatient, Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), and day treatment settings Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, or other clinically appropriate modalities Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborate with case managers, prescribers, and program staff Monitor client progress toward treatment goals and adjust treatment interventions as needed Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment when clinically indicated Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with agency policies, state regulations, and payer requirements Support client engagement, retention, and successful transitions between levels of care Coordinate care with external providers, including primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and community resources when appropriate Adhere to all confidentiality, ethical, and professional standards, including HIPAA and applicable New Jersey regulations Collaborate with program leadership to support quality improvement initiatives and program operations as needed What You Bring to Freedom Recovery Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field Active and unrestricted New Jersey license such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist (associate licenses such as LAC, LSW, or LAMFT may be considered depending on supervision availability) Experience providing individual and/or group therapy in behavioral health settings preferred Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, or ACT Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention skills Excellent organizational, communication, and clinical documentation skills Ability to manage a clinical caseload and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary treatment team Proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth platforms Commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, and client-centered care Why Join Freedom Recovery Be part of a mission-driven organization where your work directly supports client recovery and long-term wellness Work alongside a dedicated, supportive clinical team in a collaborative behavioral health environment Opportunities for professional growth and ongoing training in behavioral health Competitive pay and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and family leave Competitive annual salary range of $65,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience Requirements Ability to work full-time, on-site in New Jersey, Monday through Friday plus one Saturday per month.
