Key Responsibilities

The respiratory therapist provides evidence-based care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, including ventilator support and emergency response. They also serve as a mentor to less experienced staff and educate patients and families on treatment plans.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and hold a valid Florida license as an RT or TT. Two years of clinical experience, including one year in a specialty area, is required along with BLS certification.
