Key Responsibilities

Attends staff and other meetings when requested 18.

Provides comprehensive eye exams using accepted optometric procedures to evaluate patients in the Refractive Surgery Service 19.

Administers preoperative care and counseling as per the direction of the Medical Director 20.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conducts comprehensive eye examinations.

Assumes responsibility for the follow up care of patients seen in the Emergency Ward.

Ensures that contact lenses are ordered and verified in a timely fashion for his/her patients seen in the service 6.

Full-Time position.

Work with Mass General Brigham in Boston, Massachusetts.

Licensure & Certifications

Requires a Doctor of Optometry degree, Massachusetts licensure, and completion of an ASCO accredited residency. Proficiency in fitting a wide range of hard and soft contact lenses is required, with a preference for two years of clinical experience.
