About the Role

This position is for a Unit Coordinator on the inpatient oncology unit at Mass General Brigham. The role supports complex oncology care including chemotherapy, radiation, and palliative care. The schedule is 24 hours per week, consisting of three 8-hour night shifts (11:00 pm-7:00 am) on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to clinicians and staff in an inpatient oncology unit.
  • Coordinate patient flow including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Manage communication between patients, visitors, and clinical teams.
  • Schedule consultations, tests, procedures, and patient transport.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years administrative support experience.
  • Certified Health Unit Coordinator preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and medical terminology.
