Mental Health Counselor

Join Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a Mental Health Counselor in Prescott, Arizona. The Opportunity: Position is a 12 month/40 hour per week. Primary responsibilities are to provide individual, couples, and group counseling using a brief treatment framework of counseling.

Key Responsibilities

• Crisis intervention is also an essential job duty for this position.

• The counselor will also consult with Wellness Center providers regarding student needs.

Requirements

• Mental Health Counselor I Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or related field.

• LAC- Licensed Associate Counselor in Arizona.

• Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of interventions for depression, anxiety, alcohol/drug use/abuse, and developmental concerns frequently faced by college students is required.

• Must understand DSM-5, have familiarity with frequently used assessment tools such as the BDI, BAI, DES-11, AUDIT and /ADHD Amen checklist.
