About the Role
Join Everent Health & Affiliates as a Physician- Hospice and Palliative in United States.
Key Responsibilities
- will be a part of a team providing care and support to patients and their families who no longer receive treatments to cure their terminal illness but instead choose care to improve their comfort and quality of life.
- will include accepting patients as the hospice attending physician and providing consultations at the request of community physicians or Bluegrass Care Navigators’ Nurse Practitioners, making medically necessary visits and face-to-face recertification visits, as needed.
- provide care at nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.
- provide care at one of our Hospice Care Centers.
Requirements
- Is currently licensed to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky, including a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Oncology, or appropriate medical society.
- Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, preferred.
- A fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine or a minimum of two years of post-residency medical experience required.
Work Schedule
- Full-Time position.
- Call responsibilities required.
- Weekend coverage may be required.
