The physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of illnesses and injuries for detainees while managing their overall medical care. They also act as a liaison between correctional officials and the medical team to ensure contractually required services are implemented.
Candidates must hold a medical degree from an accredited school and be licensed to practice as a physician in the state of California. A minimum of two years of direct work experience and completion of a U.S.-based residency program are required.
