Requirements

  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Family nurse practitioner or Physician Assistants program Licensure and Certifications: Nurse Practitioner and CPR, required.
  • National certification, required Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a previous clinical nursing role, required.
  • Bilingual-Spanish preferred Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50lbs.
  • This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing direct patient care, including performing physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and initiating appropriate treatment plans in partnership with the Clinic Physician. Essential duties also involve ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, documenting medical information, and educating patients and families on health management.
