The Medical Director conducts clinical coverage reviews and medical necessity determinations to ensure cost-effective, quality care for members. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and providers to manage medical benefits and facilitate accurate, timely coverage decisions.
Candidates must hold an active, unrestricted M.D. or D.O. license and board certification in an ABMS specialty, preferably Internal or Family Medicine. A minimum of 3 years of clinical practice experience post-residency is required, along with proficiency in Evidence Based Medicine.
