Key Responsibilities

• Fill, verify, counsel and follow prescription protocols in accordance with the standards and practices mandated by the California State Board of Pharmacy.

• Assure appropriateness of drug therapy, including interactions and allergies.

• Verify patient understanding of the reason for medication, its proper use, common side effects and appropriate outcomes of drug therapy.

• Assure availability, preparation and control of medications.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy.

• Current and valid California Pharmacy License.

• Basic computer and typing skills.
