Physician - Cardiology

About the Role

Provide outpatient Rheumatology physician services both on-site at the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF) and via telehealth. This role supports Indian Health Service (IHS) patients with specialty clinic and telemedicine visits. Contract lengths are flexible, ranging from short-term (13 weeks) to long-term (1-3 years), with intermittent support for unplanned needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver professional medical and telemedicine services in accordance with recognized standards of care and CCHCF policies.
• Provide outpatient specialty clinic services and telehealth consultations using IHS-approved platforms.
• Document patient encounters in the IHS electronic health record (EHR), including remote charting.
• Offer telephone visits when audiovisual telemedicine is not feasible.

Requirements

• Medical degree with appropriate licensure.
• Ability to provide outpatient Rheumatology services.
• Willingness to work under general supervision of the Acting Primary Care Director or designee.
