About the Role
Join Community Options, Inc. as a Licensed Professional Counselor – $80/hr, Part-Time in United States. Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.
Key Responsibilities
- must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing Minimum Requirements Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field Licensure: Current and valid LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) certification in respective state Minimum of one year of experience working with adults in group homes or similar settings Experience with behavior assessment, treatment planning, and implementing behavior interventions Knowledge of mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, and behavioral disorders commonly seen in adults in residential care Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy and evidence-based intervention strategies Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to assess complex behaviors and develop individualized interventions Crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Compassionate, patient, and nonjudgmental approach to care Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain professional boundaries while fostering therapeutic relationships with residents and staff Why Community Options?
