About the Role

Join Vocational Instruction Project as a HIV Testing Counselor in United States. Description Conduct HIV pre/post test counseling sessions. Member of the community outreach team via mobile testing van.

Key Responsibilities

as assigned by the Director or designee.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED with at least one (1) year of experience working in the field of HIV/AIDS.

CASAC training, a plus Certification in HIV Pre/Post-Test Counseling, a plus.

Knowledge about HIV/AIDS, STDs and the Risk Reduction Model.

Computer literate and experience working with electronic medical records.

Benefits & Compensation

Provide one to one session to orient individuals to the HIV service system, including the all-agency programs and the benefits of engaging in continuous care.

Conduct control procedure for Rapid HIV Testing.

Perform unscheduled interventions or other appropriate assistance with unexpected occurrences or circumstances that exceed the client’s normal range of coping strategies.

Maintain good working relationships with all staff, clients and visitors.
