Key Responsibilities

The Social Worker is responsible for providing professional social work services to patients and their families dealing with complex medical and psychiatric psycho-social problems. This includes direct inpatient and outpatient services, as well as social work activities throughout the hospital to help cope with emotional and social health issues.

Requirements

A Master's degree in Social Work is required for this position, along with an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification. Experience in an acute care hospital or inpatient psychiatric unit setting, along with knowledge of community resources, is preferred.
