About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for youth, including evaluating dietary intake, medical history, and lifestyle factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans that address specific health conditions and promote optimal wellness.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, including medical personnel, foodservice, case managers, therapists, and direct care staff, to integrate nutrition therapy into overall patient care.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on healthy eating habits, disease prevention, and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and clinical nutrition principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively counsel and educate diverse patient populations.
