About the Role

Join Sonora Behavioral Health as a Music Therapist in United States. Overview Sonora Behavioral Health is Tucson’s leading behavioral health hospital with 140 beds. Our hospital serves children, adolescents, and adults in an acute hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct and implement the musical activities within the treatment program to facilitate patient progress with treatment goals.

Plan and implement a music program including but not limited to music leisure skills and activities, music education and music awareness.

Facilitate and lead music sessions to improve patient mental and physical well-being.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy or related field required.

Master’s degree preferred.

Two or more years’ experience in recreation in a healthcare setting with knowledge of patient population served by the facility is required.

Ability to play one or more instrucment preferred.

Work Schedule

Full-time position.
