Key Responsibilities

The Speech Pathologist consults with physicians to establish treatment plan goals and administers tests to evaluate deficits in speech, language, cognition, and swallowing. They are responsible for determining individualized patient treatment programs based on these evaluations.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a current California Speech and Language Pathology license, a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Card from the American Heart Association, and the CCC certificate from ASHA. One year of acute care hospital experience is preferred, along with strong communication and critical thinking skills.
