Key Responsibilities

  • Will Do Performs age appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age specific needs Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs Motivates non-compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapy Utilizes available resources (equipment, support personnel, educational resources) to maximize efficiency and productivity and to meet personal developmental needs As required, participates appropriately in departmental safety drills / emergency procedures Documents and reports unusual occurrences, on the job injuries, and medical device malfunctioning Additional perks of being a Texas Health Occupational Therapist Benefits include 401k, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Programs, as well as other benefits.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and a Texas Occupational Therapy License. Two years of experience in inpatient or acute care is strongly preferred, along with BCLS certification.
