About the Role
Join AmeriStaff Services as a Occupational Therapist in United States. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing in home Occupational Therapy services to Agency patients, as prescribed by the attending physician, and for providing Agency staff, and the attending physician with Occupational Therapy consultation as needed. DUTIES 1.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides guidance and instruction to patients/family members of developed therapeutic, creative, and self care procedures/activities; and explains adaptive and progressive approaches in applying it.
- Instructs the patient/family members in use of appropriate orthotic or prosthetic equipment; and may also design and fabricate customized adaptive and assistive devices, with training for their use.
- Conducts functional and cognitive re-evaluations, as indicated, to assess the need for any revisions in the treatment plan and participates in staff meeting and case conferences as required 5.
Requirements
- Must hold a license/registration as an Occupational Therapist, issued by the State of Michigan.
- CPR certification preferred, not required.
- Current Michigan driver’s license and/or reliable transportation with proof of automobile insurance of personal vehicle for business use.
