Key Responsibilities

The role involves providing respiratory care to stabilize or remedy patient respiratory problems by administering prescribed medical gases and aerosolized drugs using various equipment. This includes regularly checking equipment, recording therapy data, drawing and analyzing ABGs, and participating in ventilator and MDI protocols.

Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of an approved AMA school for Respiratory Therapy, hold a Certified Respiratory Therapist credential, and be licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required, along with the ability to provide direct care across all age groups.
