About the Role

Join Inova as a Radiation Therapist 1 in United States. The Radiation Therapist 1 communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, supervisors and outside contacts. Responsible for treatment modalities and protocols to accurately set-up and administer treatments on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

Provides education and support of methods appropriate to patients' levels of understanding and motivation while including families and caregivers in education and training as appropriate.

Positions all patients for initial treatment to verify set

Acts as a Liaison between physicians and machine staff by utilizing technical expertise for all difficult/complex treatments on various machines.

Documents any corrections in charts resulting from changes in the originally prescribed course of treatment; Detects unsatisfactory set

Requirements

Basic Life Support upon start; American Registered Radiologic Technologist certified or registry eligible within one year of employmentLicensure

Licensed Radiologic Technologist is only required for team members in ambulatory areas; such as PROCExperience
