Key Responsibilities
- assigned by the EVMS Department of Psychiatry.
- Responsibilities Utilizes DSM5 principles to modify patient diagnoses and treatment under the direction of a supervising psychiatrist.
- Performs new patient comprehensive evaluations.
Requirements
- Masters in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Must be a licensed PA by the Virginia Board of Medicine and a certified physician assistant by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Or a licensed RN by the Virginia Board of Nursing and a certified licensed Nurse Practitioner.
- Demonstrates sufficient knowledge of psychiatry, to perform a complete mental status exam.
