Entity: Owensboro Health Regional Hospital | Department: Radiation Oncology | Work Hours: M-F 7:00-4:30 | Weekend Requirements: N/A | 0.0 FTE Job Summary: Provides therapeutic and patient care services for the purpose of delivering radiation therapy as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivers patient treatment plan in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist/physicist.
  • Evaluates patients for appropriate response to treatment and reports any adverse reactions.
  • Positions patients and selects anatomic/technical parameters accurately; maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and treatment techniques while utilizing radiation protection procedures.
  • Reviews patient charts for completeness and accuracy according to established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Radiation Therapy required upon hire AND ROC
  • Radiation Operator Certification in the state of Kentucky required upon hire AND BLS
  • Office/Clinic) Standing: 75% Walking: 75% Sitting: 50% Lifting 0
  • 25 lbs: 25% Lifting 25

Work Schedule

  • Full-Time position.
  • No weekends required.
  • Day shift only - no nights.
