About the Role

Provide primary health care to a defined patient population within established nursing protocols at Prisma Health in Simpsonville, South Carolina. This internal medicine NP role involves diagnosis, treatment, and management of physical and mental ailments.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat diseases, defects, or injuries.
• Recommend or prescribe treatments.
• Complete all required documentation for care and billing.
• Participate in physician educational programs related to capitated medicine.
• Assist in quality assurance, utilization management, and patient education services.
• Participate in operational assessments for revenue enhancement and expense reduction.
• Maintain courteous and cooperative relationships with staff, physicians, patients, and the public.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing with NP emphasis or equivalent.
• South Carolina Nurse Practitioner recognition (NLNP) with prescriptive authority.
• South Carolina Nursing License.
• South Carolina Controlled Substance license and Federal DEA license.
