Key Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care utilizing the nursing process, encompassing standards of practice like assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing high acuity cardiac care for pre and post cardiac surgery patients in a 24-bed Cardiac Surgical IMCU.

Requirements

Required education is an Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or MSN preferred. Candidates must have a Virginia RN License or be Compact/Multi-State Eligible, and new graduates are welcome, with specific requirements for BLS and ACLS certification timelines post-hire.
