Graduate Respiratory Therapist - UPMC Children's Hospital

Responsibilities include reviewing patient data and prescriptions to determine appropriate respiratory therapy, setting up, operating, and monitoring critical equipment like ventilators, and performing various patient assessments and procedures. The therapist must also consult with physicians, maintain accurate records, and respond to all emergency code situations.

Applicants must be graduates of a Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) approved program and must obtain Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) status from the NBRC before a temporary practice permit expires. Required credentials include BLS or CPR certification, and specific clearances (Act 31, 33, 34, & 73).
