Key Responsibilities

This position, knows and complies with all Kaiser Permanente quality, safety, and emergency policies and procedures.

Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice in every interaction with patients, colleagues, providers, and leadership.

Reports safety hazards, accidents and incidents, and unsafe working conditions promptly.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications: Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling preferred.

National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Taxonomy code preferred.

Benefits & Compensation

Obtains, records and documents genetic history from referred patients to prepare information about family medical background related to genetically transferable medical or developmental disabilities.

Prepares case history summaries for referring provider.

Provides counseling and obtains informed consent.

Coordinates specimen transfer to appropriate laboratory, monitors and reports test results to provider and patient.

Full-Time position.
