Key Responsibilities

• Assumes administrative and clinical responsibility in the absence of the Vice President of Patient Care Services and other administrative personnel.

• Acts as liaison with Access staff on appropriateness of admissions and EMTALA compliance.

Requirements

• Understands and adheres to organizations' and department's HR and administrative policies and procedures.

• Ensures that staff have sufficient resources necessary to accomplish their objectives and fulfill their responsibilities.

• Reviews schedule on shift basis and makes staff adjustments in relation to census and acuity levels.

• Mentors, coaches and motivates staff regarding performance and appropriate behaviors and conduct, in a timely and positive manner.
