- As a Medical Social Worker, you’ll engage in a range of exciting responsibilities, including: Establishing a care plan in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.
- Providing crisis intervention as required.
- Assisting the physician and other caregivers in understanding the significant social, emotional and economic factors influencing the patient’s ability to improve medically.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited school approved by the Council on Social Work Education.
- In Indiana, must also be certified under IC25-23.
- Currently licensed to practice in the state serviced.
- One year social work experience in a health care setting.
