Key Responsibilities

• Preferred: SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) or training may be provided
• Computer Literate: Computer and technical skills sufficient to perform responsibilities and train others.
• * Maintain understanding and sensitive disposition for victims/survivors of sexual assault to ensure comfort during the exam process;
• * Provide medical advice and referrals for SAVE clients as appropriate;
• * Provide accurate, expert testimony as requested on SAVE cases;
• * May participate in performing SAVE AFTERcare Clinic exams according to Sexual Assault Services protocol;

Requirements

• Licensure: Must hold a Florida license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or a Registered Nurse.
• Experience:
• * Complete Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) training and any updates required to maintain that certification;

Benefits & Compensation

• Registered Nurse with at least one year of experience in Midwifery, OB/GYN, ER, Women’s Health and/or completion of SANE certification
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse including a clinical rotation in Midwifery, OB/GYN, ER, Women’s Health

Work Schedule

• * ability to sit or stand during the duration of exam, 2-4 hours
• * Participate in 24 hour on-call rotation to respond onsite or in a community setting to perform examination;
• 1. Should be available for on call for a minimum of one 12-hour shift per week and should be able to physically respond within 60 minutes.
• * The ability to work, as scheduled, in a timely fashion, and with an attitude oriented to service.
